Harpur Hill College Buxton

The high peak college of education. Built around 1964. It used to be an RAF base in world war 2 and had left many marks on the area. The RAF made tunnels in the limestone to store bombs and ammo. They were later used to grow mushrooms and cold stores.

The college became part of the University of Derby in 1998. The campus closed It's doors in 2006.

The amount of stuff left here was quite unbelievable really. It doesn't take long before the unsavoury characters emerge though. The site has been pilfered and pillaged beyond recognition.
